They say ”Diamonds are a girl’s best friend”… but when combined with hot pink feathers, they are a 15 year old girl’s BFF!!!  And that’s just what we gave Vanessa for her Quinceanera at the Golden Palace Ballroom.

A room drenched in hot pink lighting was the perfect backdrop for Vanessa and her Court.  Tall centerpieces of crystal globes and multi-colored ostrich plumes were just the thing to take this event from ordinary to extraordinary.  Everyone cheered as Vanessa cut into her six tier, zebra inspired cake and danced the night away in celebration of Vanessa turning the BIG 1-5!

My darling Indira turned TWO years old this month and nestled in between our BUSY regularly scheduled events, I had the pleasure of planning her birthday party!

Some parents get stressed out with birthday party planning, but I think…If you enjoy doing it, than GO FOR IT!  And one might think an event planner would get out of control with parties, but surprisingly, I VOWED to make it a simple, casual, backyard barbecue and SUCCEEDED!

This year was quite different from the Cupcake Party last year.  The colors were red, white and a teal blue and the kids enjoyed WATER FUN in the backyard (even in 105 degree HEAT) , the adults chowed down on barbecue food including tri-tip, chicken and potato salad, Indira gave away cute BEACHCOMBER bags as goodie bags to her guests and we had yummy desserts such as Sheri’s famous ice cream sandwiches, Nadia’s own Red Velvet Cupcakes and a Birthday Cake by Miss Jackie (a family friend).

A special thanks to Ruben J. for the photos!

Marissa and Kyle are the BEST 6th graders you will ever want to meet…that’s why we wanted to make their Graduation Party one they would never forget.

You might be wondering what Hawaiian Hula and Highlighters have in common…but combining the FUN, VIBRANT colors of a luau with the GLOWING, NEON colors of a night club created the ultimate party atmosphere!

Guests entered a tropical oasis and were later ushered into a glow-in-the-dark dance club haven.  Black lights, glow sticks, white T-shirts and hi-lighters…along with the perfect club DJ made this night an EPIC kick-off to Marissa and Kyle’s Jr. High life!

David is a DOLL and we had a great time planning his first birthday party!  We spent lots of time with his mother, Maureen,  getting each detail just right for this big boy’s first birthday celebration.

The theme was JUNGLE ANIMALS and there was no shortage of fun activities for all of the guests to enjoy.  The fete was held at Grand Occasions and he was lucky enough to have a face painter, bounce house, DJ, craft station, coloring station, candy table, cookie decorating, floor play, cupcakes by Frosted Cakery, animal masks and pin-the-tail-on-the-monkey.  Everyone had a blast!!!

The Bridal Tea and Luncheon honoring Haylee turned out better than we imaged.  One of our favorite past clients, Gloria, was the host.  The tables were draped in lavender, set with mismatched china and looked amazing against the sunlight of the day.

Guests enjoyed delicious English Teas as they watched Haylee open her gifts.  As everyone left this special event, they took with them a silver heart shaped tea infuser.  Who knew you could have a high tea fit for a queen…in Hanford, California?

…We gave you a SNEAK PEEK of this event last month and check out the actual images below.  StarEvents teamed up with other event planners and threw a holiday bash for our local industry professionals.  We had a great time and we hope to make it an annual event since it was the first event of its kind!  As special event professionals, we all work so hard during the year producing fabulous events for our clients.  This was a chance to have our own event, celebrate the holidays, relax, socialize and donate to charity!

ALL of the proceeds went to the Poverello House, The Dakota House and The Community Food Bank.  And a HUGE THANKS to all of the Sponsors (listed below) who went above and beyond to create such a special event.  We could not have done it without you.  Enjoy!

YES…we know how to do “Jungle-Chic!”  …with a Thriller Dance Routine, Tiki Masks, Bug place settings, The Survivor TV show theme, First Aid Kits and SO much more…this turned out to be a FUN party!

Eric turned 60 and his lovely wife, Betsy, threw him quite the bash.  Betsy was very detailed about what she wanted for this over-the-top fete.  She made it clear from the beginning that this was a “Celebration of Life” party.   They have  many friends and family that have hit hard times, health problems and life issues and they wanted to throw a party that celebrated that everyone was a SURVIVOR!

We really enjoyed working on this party (which was our last of 2009) and everything came together perfectly!
