Hi LOVIES…

We hope you’re having a ROMANTIC Valentine’s Day!  This picture is a perfect representation of LOVE “StarEvents Style”.  Starbucks for Sheri and Red Velvet Cupcake for me!🙂

Anyhow, we hope you all still LOVE us even though we’ve been absent for a little while.  We’ve been closing up 2010, working on our expansion to the Bay Area and re-organizing our Central Valley office situation.  But we will be back with more events, inspiration and other fabulous event design and production information!

.::Amanda & Josh::.

Working with Amanda and Josh to create their perfect wedding was a complete JOY!  When we saw the location of the ceremony and reception…we knew this was going to be an UNFORGETTABLE wedding!

The ceremony was held in the front yard of a gorgeous private estate. The guests were in AWE as they watched Amanda exit the classic white Excalibur Limo and walk down the aisle to meet the man of her dreams.  After the ceremony, everyone was escorted to the back of the estate, where they dined under the stars beneath a CLEAR TOP canopy. The glow of the luxurious linens, crystal chandeliers and antique gold candelabras could be seen from the heavens and Amanda and Josh’s love for each other was evident throughout the evening.  This was a beautiful wedding for a beautiful couple!

From the moment we met Jennifer and Bryan, their love of PAPER, WOOD and all things natural was very clear!  It really sparked our CREATIVITY when it came to their wedding design.  RUSTIC and RICH was the final outcome!

A classically simple ceremony was held under a draped canopy in the front yard of a private estate. Immediately following, guests adjourned to the backyard for the reception. The bridal party sat around a custom made WOODEN table and a mix of fruits, candles and hand-made paper flowers gave the perfect finishing touch to the rustic floral centerpieces.

Jennifer and Bryan had the time of their life as we watched them dance the night away under market LIGHTS strung across the tree tops.

NO…we’re not pregnant (although we may have ALREADY put on a few holiday pounds).

StarEvents is THRILLED to announce that we are expanding our STELLAR Event Planning business to the BAY AREA of California!!!  Of course, we will continue our SOPHISTICATED, CHIC and FUN events in the Central Valley, but we will also make our stamp on events all over the Bay…from San Francisco to Oakland to San Jose!

.::Whitney & Josh::.

Once in a while we truly feel like GUESTS at one of our weddings because the family and friends are so WELCOMING.  This was one of them.  We had a blast at Whitney and Josh’s wedding!  The ceremony was held at the CAPTIVATING Janzen Residence with a gorgeous draped canopy and crystal chandelier as their alter and the reception was held at The Grand on Ten ballroom in downtown Fresno and was GLOWING with candles everywhere and a Tiffany blue hued lounge, luxurious linens, florals in shades of creams and whites and crystal table chandeliers and other beautiful vintage touches.  We used colors of creams, whites, Tiffany blue and chocolate brown.  The theme was a modern-vintage party with an OLD HOLLYWOOD feel.    The best part was how much love Whitney and Josh have for eachother. .::Bianca & Justin::.

I can’t say enough NICE things about Bianca and Justin.  You might remember Bianca’s sister’s wedding this past May.  We wish they had another sister so we would have an excuse to hang out with their family and friends again!

Anyhow, Bianca and Justin are definitely an unconventional couple.  They LOVED breaking the wedding RULES and we love that!  The final theme was INDUSTRIAL meets GOTH meets ROMANCE meets GLAMOUR meets WHIMSY…all in a BARN!!!

The Industrial was the awesome light bulbs hanging from the barn ceiling, the Goth was the black linens with black centerpieces, the Romance was the candles everywhere, the GLAMOUR was the draping, the crystals and the BEJEWELED bouquet made with vintage brooches , the WHIMSY was the “theater themed” concession stand cocktail area complete with a fun photo booth.  Everything was SO THEM and SO PERFECT!

There were quite a few memorable moments too…such as ANTS getting in the brides dress, a crazy-quick TURNING of the ceremony to the reception in a record 35 minutes and an upset officiant due to the couple forgetting their marriage license.  All of these occurrences made for a night we all will not forget!

Lastly, we would be wrong NOT praising the AMAZING team of vendors.  An event like this one could not be pulled off without some of the BEST people in the industry all coming together.  A complete list of vendors are listed below, but we want to give a special shout out to Jonathan at The Pantages Company for his production work, the team at Classic Catering who helped us with the turn and the fabulous food, Jennifer at Gala Ink for her stationery work and extra pair of hands, Morgan and Vinnie at Media Solutions for their awesome lighting installations, Mimi at Apropos for Flowers for the great centerpieces and lastly Mark Janzen, the amazing photographer who captured it all in photos and laughed at us when we pulled out the RAID when the ants attacked the bride…yes, prepared Wedding Planners even have Bug Spray in their kits!
